The top-grossing Japanese live action film of all time, Kokuho by Lee Sang-il, is a story spanning five decades, tracing the collision of legacy, rivalry, and culture through the world of Kabuki.

Playing in our Supersize MilkTea initiative, we are working with Voice ESEA, Move Midlands and ESEA Creatives Scotland to host screenings of this film at:

  • London | 5 May | Vue Piccadilly

  • Glasgow | 5 May | Vue St Enoch

  • Manchester | 5 May | Vue Print Works

  • Birmingham | 5 May | Vue Star City

Thank you to distributor Vue Lumiere for helping us make these screenings happen.

Kokuho is part of MilkTea’s Supersize, a project supported by the BFI with funding from the National Lottery.
