Left-Handed Girl is a heartfelt Taiwanese drama about a single mother and her two daughters rebuilding their lives in Taipei’s bustling night markets. When old traditions collide with new beginnings, long-suppressed tensions surface, especially when the youngest daughter’s left hand becomes a symbol of defiance and identity. Set to the rhythm of the city, Left-Handed Girl is a moving portrait of family, survival, and womanhood in modern Taiwan.

We co-hosted with Netflix, a Champions Lunch at one of our favourite haunts, The Old Tree Daiwan Bee with director, Shih-Ching Tsou and her star, Nina Ye in attendance.

Later that day, we hosted a drinks reception with Taiwan popcorn chicken and pineapple cakes, prior to a screening of the film, followed by a Q&A with Shih-Ching and Nina, chaired by Winnie M Li.
